25 years of Ultraschall Berlin (Ultrasound Berlin) marks an anniversary that invites us to look both backward and toward the future. The world of contemporary music has undergone marked changes over this period: new aesthetics, potential for production, and discourses have emerged, whilst others have disappeared or become historical. Ultraschall Berlin has remained true to its aim of reflecting key aspects of these developments: in 2024, new and recent works that include many world premieres and debut performances will once again be presented alongside outstanding works spanning nearly eighty years of the post-war avant-garde.
