Doors: 6 pm
A L'ARME! Festival remains true to its opening tradition and kicks off the three-day finale with an impressive solo concert. In New York City, cellist and noise artist Leila Bordreuil is celebrated as an insider tip and scene activist: feedback, electronics and cello drones meander between sound art, ambient and noise.
Berlin jazz drummer Oliver Steidle is one of Germany’s most renowned improvisation musicians and appears at A L’ARME! in an audiovisual format for the first time with his new duo Narr // Steidle. Japanese video artist Tanaka Saou and electric guitarist Steffi Narr from Leipzig complete the free rock duo for their A/V premiere.
For one last time, A L'ARME! intentionally brings together sound artists who predominantly live in Germany and with the latest release “Antumbra” by the duo Stemeseder – Lillinger presents an ultra-modern update of what could best be categorized as avant-garde jazz. The exceptional pianist and keyboardist Elias Stemeseder and the award-winning drummer Christian Lillinger oscillate between live processing, club sound and improvisation.
Since moving from Buenos Aires to Berlin five years ago, the young Argentinian baritone saxophonist Sofía Salvo has taken the capital by storm. Artistically equally at home in Berlin’s noise underground, in improvised music and performance art, she carries the torch of free music into the next generation. On the occasion of the A L’ARME! finale, she will meet two musicians exclusively and for the first time who already participated in the first edition of the festival in 2012: Norwegian top drummer Paal Nilssen-Love and Japanese guitar noise legend Keiji Haino.

Biographien
