Prince
“KISS” for three dancers has evolved along Prince's posthumously released album “Piano & A Microphone 1983”. The choreography by Kasia Wolinska, which premieres at this year’s SENSE series at Radialsystem, presents dance as a driving force, a joyful expression of being alive. Prince’s remarkable ability to move between aesthetics, as well as the diversity of the musical language of this album, serve as a compositional and narrative basis. The choreography expertly plays with techniques, qualities and colours of dance in a variety of ways to recapture its affective potential and musicality, thereby invoking the invigorating experience of dance.

Die in Berlin lebende polnische Choreografin, Tänzerin und Autorin Kasia Wolinska studierte Tanz und Kulturanthropologie in Łódź sowie Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie am HZT Berlin. Sie war Stipendiatin des Centro Selva Peru, des transeuropa Festivals in Hildesheim und des Zarya AIR in Wladiwostok. Sie arbeitete u.a. mit Lina Gómez, Anna Nowicka, Agata Siniarska, Rosalind Crisp, Anton Vidokle, Gosia Wdowik und Rafał Dominik zusammen. Seit 2018 schreibt Wolinska einen Blog über Tanz und Politik. Zusammen mit Faerieda Sandstrom gründete sie „The Future Body At Work“ – als Theorie-Praxis-Duo veröffentlichten sie mehrere Texte und unterrichteten in Lissabon, Göteborg, Berlin, Warschau und Minsk. 2019-22 ist sie Vorstandsmitglied des ZTB e.V., der Interessenvertretung der freien Tanzszene in Berlin. 2022/23 ist sie Stipendiatin des Programms Critical Practice (Made in YU).
Die Tänzerin und Choreografin Julek Kreutzer lebt in Berlin. Sie studierte Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie am HZT Berlin und ist Gründungsmitglied des Vereins „Tänzer ohne Grenzen e.V“. Als Tänzerin und Performerin arbeitete sie u.a. mit Lina Gómez, Anna Nowak, Lyllie Rouvière, Rico Wagner und Bella Hager. Ihre choreografische Arbeit bringt Performer*innen mit und ohne Bühnenerfahrung zusammen und arbeitet mit Tanz, Sprache und Performance. Zusammen mit Diethild Meier kuratiert sie das A.PART Festival im ada Studio Berlin. Darüber hinaus kuratierte sie 2020 und 2021 das Tanzprogramm im Rahmen der HofFestSpiele im Theater Expedition Metropolis. Sie war Stipendiaten des Pilotprojekts Tanzpraxis der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa 2020, DanceWeb-Stipendiatin 2021 und ist eine von sechs Künstler*innen des internationalen Residenzprogramms DanceMe 2021/22.
Hinako Taira wurde in Kobe, Japan, geboren und begann im Alter von vier Jahren ihre Karateausbildung bis zum schwarzen Gürtel. Sie studierte am Kobe College unter der Mentor*innenschaft von Toru Shimazaki und trainierte Ballett, zeitgenössischen Tanz, Graham-Technik und Gaga. Nach ihrem Abschluss arbeitete sie als Regieassistentin und Tänzerin in einer Musicalkompanie. Sie war bei zahlreichen Tanzfestivals und Tourneen zu Gast, darunter „Dance at the Gathering prix de Lausanne select dancer Festival“ und „Vladimir Malakhov and the stars of the world ballet“. Als Choreografin erhielt sie viele Auszeichnungen, u.a. Masdanza choreography Finalist in Korea, New dance for Asia select choreography, Contemporary dance competition HDP special award und Award for Excellence FDFF Choreographers Award.

Employing the perspectives of choreography, visual arts, music and workshop formats, Radialsystem investigates with the programme series "SENSE" an embodied practice of sensory perception. At the festival edition in July 2022, three Berlin choreographers will celebrate the premiere of their new works: Kasia Wolinska with „KISS“, Dani Brown with „THE PRESSING“ and André Uerba with „Æffective Choreography“.
