Haptic Access Tours are 20-30 minute live tours held prior to the performance that allow visitors with visual impairments to experience the space, performers, costumes and objects, and key elements of movement within a production through touch and their own movement.
Following the tactile tour, an Audio Description will be offered during the performance at 8 pm. Audio description refers to a live audio track of professional audio descriptors transmitted via headset to audience members with visual impairments. Gravity Access Berlin's audio descriptors are professional dancers or actors and are trained to use clear and engaging language to describe the significant visual details of a performance that would be inaccessible to audience members with visual impairments. The audio description is performed in German.

In "Schweigt Stille/Sober up!", Argentine composer and theater-maker Santiago Blaum confronts the canonical work of European "high" art with the concrete political and economic conditions of its production. He breaks through the harmonies of European classical music with Latin American rhythms, shifting the focus from ‘music for the mind’ to its physicality. Blaum contrasts the narrative of Europe, which has suddenly sobered up by dint of the miraculous intervention of coffee, shaking off the numbness of centuries of beer and wine consumption, with the materiality of coffee as a cultivated crop.

Biographien
Santiago Blaum wurde in Buenos Aires geboren und studierte dort Literatur, Klavier und Komposition, Operngesang und Theaterimprovisation. Zusammen mit Regisseur Pablo Maritano gründete er die Gruppe Torquato Tasso Beauty Performer (Buenos Aires 2000-2003), bei der er Regie führte und selbst spielte. Seit 2004 arbeitet er als Musikalischer Leiter und Komponist in Berlin u.a mit She She Pop und Constanza Macras/Dorky Park. Seit 2010 leitete er als Regisseur und Komponist mehrere freie Musiktheaterproduktionen, die im HAU und in den Sophiensälen in Berlin uraufgeführt wurden. Seit 2018 tritt er auch mit seinem Musikprojekt Señorita auf, das lateinamerikanische Musik mit experimentellem Elektro-Pop verbindet.

Eine Audiodeskription ist eine Live-Audiospur, die von professionellen Audiobeschreibenden über ein Headset für Menschen mit Sehbehinderung live eingesprochen wird. Die Audiobeschreibenden sind entsprechend geschult, um die bedeutsamen visuellen Details einer Aufführung, die für Zuschauende mit Sehbehinderungen unzugänglich wären, klar und ansprechend zu beschreiben.
Tastführungen / Haptic Access Tours – 20-30 minütige Live-Führungen vor der Vorstellung ergänzend zu den Audiodeskriptionen – ermöglichen es Besucher*innen mit Sehbehinderung, den Raum, die Darsteller*innen, die Kostüme und Objekte sowie die wichtigsten Bewegungselemente einer Aufführung durch Berührung und eigene Bewegung zu erleben.
