Dreams of Electric Sheep - An utopian festival

Marc Sinan Company & Guests

What awaits us in the digital paradise? This and other questions are pursued in the second part of the festival "Dreams of Electric Sheep", the first part of which dealt with dystopic aspects of digitization, held at Radialsystem in December 2018. Over two days, the trans-media festival, in a mixture of different genres, media and disciplines, presents utopian perspectives on cyber prosthetics, online literature circles and the enchantment of virtual worlds. On the evening of the first day of the festival, author Nataly Bleuel, together with Internet experts, will once again explore central questions of digitalization in the musical theatre talk show "#WTF 3000" - followed by a party with DJ / musician Paul Frick. On the second evening, the Marc Sinan Company together with the Ensemble ConTempo Beijing will premiere the chamber opera "Der singende Kopf" (the singing head). "The singing head" is based on Ovid's epilogue to the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. The festival is complemented by workshops with CyberRäuber (Björn Lengers and Marcel Karnapke) on virtual reality as a form of narration in theatre. You can find the festival ticket here: Funded by the Capital Cultural Fund and the multi-sector funding of the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
