In their trilogy "1 km2 Berlin – The Tragedy of the Open City" performer and author Alicia Agustín and the artists’ collective Guerilla Architects embark on a search for ambivalences within contemporary urban development, rendering them communally experiential. Act II, "A place to be", employs the fictional setting of a flat viewing, a house hunting game, and a tour through Kreuzberg on the southern bank of the Spree to address conflicts endemic in housing market. The audience is accompanied by a Greek-style chorus whose role alternates between that of quizmaster and commentator.

Most of the event takes place in the public space in Berlin-Kreuzberg, the meeting point is in front of the building at Eisenbahnstrasse 10, 10997 Berlin.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. A mask is compulsory during the entire event.

The ruins of the Brommy Bridge serve as the departure point of the series "1 km2 Berlin – The tragedy of the open city". The structure evidently remains last bastion against the gradual privatisation of the neighbourhood. The square kilometre surrounding these ruins, declared a sacred place of pilgrimage, is the scene of a Greek-style tragedy in three acts, in which every figure inevitably gets their hands bloodied. Act I, originally planned for April, took place in August, and Act III is scheduled for December 2020
